Nausėda thanked Lithuanians in Norway for fostering Lithuanian identity

President Gitanas Nausėda greeted the guests and expressed his joy at the creativity, unity, and desire to nurture the Lithuanianness of the Lithuanians living in Norway.

The President encouraged those gathered to build Lithuania with knowledge, innovation, and science, even while living abroad.

The First Lady, welcoming the guests, drew attention to the importance of Lithuanian schools, community spirit, and nurturing Lithuanian traditions.

Saulius Trepekūnas presented the work done by Norwegian Lithuanian communities. Jolanta Markevičienė, head of the Norwegian Lithuanian school "Gintaras", summarized the activities and goals of Lithuanian schools.

Businessman Povilas Rutkauskas presented the Lithuanian business community.

Children's choir "Tutti" (director Vesta Zabulionienė) entertained the guests with songs.

During the meeting, the issues of fostering Lithuania abroad, Lithuanian education, support for Ukraine, and the referendum were discussed.

The production manager of Tiveta AS Paulius Vindašius, also participated in the event and assessed such an honorable visit as a necessary moral support for the entire Lithuanian community.
