The construction work of the police station in Oslo has started
In it, Tiveta AS will be a subcontractor in the carpentry sector.
At the moment, in addition to the manager, two carpenters have started installing the parapet. They will soon be joined by more company employees, reaching as many as 50 at peak times.
External and internal wall, facade, door, and window installation works will be carried out.
"After a long break, we are working again with the general contractor Hent AS. The size of the object itself is nothing we haven't encountered before. Installation of facade tiles will be a kind of interesting challenge. First, this is not usual work in our daily routines, and secondly, the facade's scale is quite large. A great experience awaits, which, I have no doubt, will be beneficial and successful for all parties," said project manager Mantas Domeika.
Tiveta AS must fulfill its contractual obligations by October 2024. The new police station will combine the canine service in the city and the currently operating police stations in Stovner and Manglerud. It will cover seven districts of eastern Oslo with a population of almost 300,000. It is also worth mentioning that 500 police officers and a police dog service will work there.
The building is being developed in accordance with the highest standards of energy efficiency and sustainability (BREEAM), providing the most ecological and people-friendly solutions.
